QuickIP — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the QuickIP Android application (“the App”), published by Web Pulse for Investment (“we”, “us”), handles your information.

1. What we do not do

The App has no user accounts, shows no advertising, and does not collect, store on our servers, share, or sell any personal data. We operate no backend server that receives your data.

2. Location permission

Android requires location permission for any app that reads the name of the Wi-Fi network (SSID) you are connected to. QuickIP uses this permission only on your device, to display:

• your Wi-Fi network name and signal details;
• an estimated distance to your router and mobile tower;
• your coordinates and city on the Time & Location card.

This information never leaves your phone, except where you explicitly choose to share it — for example inside a PDF test report that you generate and send. The App shows an explanation of this before the permission is requested, and it continues to work if you decline.

3. Network requests the App makes

To provide its diagnostic features, the App contacts the following third-party services directly from your device. As with any internet service, these see your IP address. No other identifying information is sent to them:

• ipwho.is and api.ipify.org — to show your public IP and its registered location/ISP;
• cloudflare-dns.com, dns.google, dns.quad9.net — DNS lookup and benchmark tools;
• speed.cloudflare.com — download and upload speed measurement;
• 1.1.1.1, 8.8.8.8 and hosts you enter yourself — ping, traceroute and port checks.

4. Data stored on your device

Preferences are stored locally on your phone only: chosen language, sound and vibration settings, selected access medium, engineer name for reports, and the list of network devices previously seen by the scanner. All of it is deleted when you uninstall the App.

5. PDF reports

Reports you generate contain the test data shown to you, including location if available. They are created entirely on your device and are shared only where you choose to send them.

6. Children

The App is a technical utility and is not directed at children under 13.

7. Changes

We may update this policy. The “last updated” date above always reflects the current version, which is also available inside the App under About → Privacy Policy.
